ST. PAUL`S CATHEDRAL
Built between 1839 and 1847, St Paul`s Cathedral is one of India`s most important churches. It`s east of the Victoria Memorial at the South end of the Maidan. The steeple fell during an earthquake in 1897 and was redesigned and rebuilt. Inside there`s some interesting memorials and stained glass, including the west window by Sir Edward Burne-Jones. It`s open to visitors from 9 am to noon, and from 3 to 6 pm. Sunday services are at 7.30 and 8.30 am, and 6 pm.

VICTORIA MEMORIAL
The Victoria Memorial in Calcutta is a wonderful example of the western style of architecture. The monument, built by Lord Curzon, the erstwhile Viceroy of British India, not only pays homage to a legendary British monarch but also reflects the memories of the British rule in India. The museum within the Victoria Memorial, houses one of the best collection of artifacts to be found in any museum in India.

KHANDAGIRI & UDAYAGIRI (JAIN HERITAGE)
The twin hills of Khandagiri & Udayagiri, 8 km from Bhubaneswar, served as the site of an ancient Jain monastery which was carved into cave like chambers in the face of the hill. Dating back to the 2nd century BC, some of the caves have beautiful carvings. The Rani Gumpha ( Queen`s Cave), one of the largest and double- storied is ornately embellished with beautiful carvings. In the Hati Gumpha (Elephant Cave), King Kharavela has carved out the chronicles of his reign.

LINGARAJA TEMPLE
The Lingaraja temple is said to have been built first by the ruler Yayati Kesari in the 7th century who shifted his capital from Jaipur to Bhubaneshwar. Bhubaneshwar remained as the Kesari capital, till Nripati Kesari founded Cuttck in the 10th century. Inscriptions from the period of the Kalinga King Anangabhima III from the 13th century are seen here.

SUN TEMPLE
Sun temple is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Konark. The credit for constructing this 13th century old shrine, dedicated to Sun God, goes to Raja Narsimhadeva of the Ganga dynasty. Konark Sun Temple has been built in the form of a gigantic chariot that has 24 wheels.

JAGANNATH TEMPLE
Jagannath Temple is one of the most renowned as well as the biggest temples of Orissa. Established in the 12th century, the temple is dedicated to Lord Jagannath (Lord Krishna), Lord of the Universe.
