Mughal Gardens visiting Nishat Bagh (Adode of pleasure) built b Asif Khan brother in law of Jahangir in 1632 AD. And Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love) built by Jehangir for his wife Empress Noor Jaehan. All the gardens are situated on the bank of Dal Lake with the Zabarwan Mountains in the background, Enroute visit carpet-weaving factory.

Day05: Sonmarg - Gulmarg

Transfer from Sonmarg to Gulmarg by Road.
Today we will board our car to visit a famous mountain resort. The resort is located on a high mountain plate, and is closely associated with some famous winter sports held every year. We will drive through rice fields and small towns and eventually drive uphill surrounded by thick pine forests to arrive at the bowl shaped open meadow of Gulmarg. Known locally by the name of Valley of Flowers the resort is encircled by huge mountains, glistening with their snow capped peaks and lush forests.
Gulmarg Gondola
Later today board the Swiss styled Gondola that takes us to the top of the mountain and provides a rare sight of the valley.

SONAMARG DAY TRIP
Today, we will drive to the beautiful secluded mountain resort 87 km north of the valley. Driving through stony river beds and mud villages with a mesmerizing backdrop of the Himalayan range, the route takes us to the green valley of Sonamarg literally known as the golden meadow. We will arrive in the afternoon and transfer to Sonamarg Nature Resort which is the only Luxurious Swiss Cottage camps in the valley. Sonamarg Nature Resort is located in the northern part of Kashmir. An ideal getaway from the humdrum of city life, it stands majestically on the fringes of the beautiful Sonamarg valley floor. It also has the advantage of being located in a tranquil pollution free zone. The camp is committed to conservation of its natural treasures in the form of forests and wildlife. Tasks of such magnitude and immense importance cannot be carried out without the involvement of the local residents. Later we will drive and visit the famous Thajwas glacier found here. The valley has a beautiful contrast of naked mountains, green fields and snow white glacier with water trickling beneath it.

After Breakfast, Visit to Chandanwadi, The snow Point (14 Kms) at your own cost or enjoy pony ride at your own cost, Return back to Pahalgam, rest of the day at leisure to explore the countryside and enjoy leisurely walks through the pine forest along the River Lidder.
